Graff Vivid Yellow Ready To Shatter World Records
In just two weeks’ time, one of the rarest yellow diamonds in the world will be auctioned for sale: the Graff Vivid Yellow. Expectations are high that the sale of the stone, which exceeds 100 carats in weight, will shatter existing world records. The precious gem should garner between $15 million and $25 million when it comes under the gavel in Geneva, Switzerland at Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels auction.
The stone’s hue is daffodil yellow and it has already been mounted on a ring. It is exceeded in size, but only slightly, by the Delaire Sunrise, the world’s largest square emerald cut fancy vivid yellow, which weighs over 118 carats and has also been in the possession of Graff Diamonds.
Before being sold, the diamond, noted for its extraordinary fire and brilliance, will be on display in Hong Kong for the perusal of potential investors.
