LUK FOOK JEWELRY

Luk Fook Jewelry was founded in 1991 by a group of expert jewelers, whose activities include the wholesale and retail design and sale of diamond and gemstone-encrusted gold and platinum jewelry.

The group has a network of 1,500 stores in China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Korea, Malaysia, the United States, Canada and Australia. Over 1,430 of Luk Fook’s jewelry stores are located in China. Luk Fook and Chow Tai Fook compete for the same market share, and it is not uncommon to see stores by both chains standing side by side in China and Hong Kong.

As part of its efforts to control the entire production line, Luk Fook set up a 350,000 square meter jewelry manufacturing plant in the city of Nansha in Guangzhou Province in 2003. The group opened its own plant believing it would allow it to provide quality jewelry for its stores. The factory may grow in accordance with the increase in the number of the group’s stores in order to continue to supply quality jewelry in a process that meets international quality standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Maintaining high service and export standards is part of the company’s creed. In 1996, Luk Fook established a gemological laboratory named China Gems Laboratory Limited to offer documentation and certification services for the diamonds, jades, and gemstones embedded in its jewelry. The lab also examines the quality of the gold from which the company’s jewelry is made.

In 2013, the Luk Fook Group established the Victoria Gemological Institute – a laboratory that provides certificates for jewelry as well as vocational training. The lab has branches in Hong Kong and China, and also provides services to jewelers and private clients.

Luk Fook markets timepiece brands such as Hublot, Omega, Rado, Tag Heuer, Hamilton, and others. The group, which is headquartered in Hong Kong, is headed by Wai Sheung Wong. Luk Fook shares have been traded on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange since May 1997.
