The story of Neil Lane Jewelry is tied to the fate of its founder and namesake.
The New York native moved to Paris in his early 20’s, where he began his 20-year career as a jewelry collector and designer, focusing on vintage period pieces.
After some time, he picked up and moved back to the United States, this time to Los Angeles, the country’s entertainment capital. Among his accomplishments is the re-introduction of the old European style diamond cuts to the American market. Diamond companies like De Beers have been eager to partner with him, as they did at the launch of their Rodeo Drive outlet.
Over the course of his career, Lane has been responsible for making Hollywood’s finest look fabulous. Accepting their acting awards, Jennifer Hudson, Reese Witherspoon and Renee Zellweger have walked up to the podium wearing Neil Lane originals. To take their marriage vows, Ellen DeGeneres, Jessica Simpson and others have marched up to the altar with Neil Lane wedding bands.
