JEWELRY BELONGING TO MARILYN MONROE OFFERED AT AUCTION

One of the highlights of the auction of items from two Marilyn Monroe private collections is a ladies platinum and diamond cocktail watch signed Rayvill Watch Co. 17 Jewels according to a press release from auction house Julien’s Auctions. Other items of jewelry belonging to the legendary star include a pair of diamond and rhinestone earrings worn by Monroe in the film ‘How To Marry A Millionaire’.

“This is one of the most important and historic auctions of Marilyn Monroe ever. This diverse collection gives us a most intimate glimpse of the screen legend. Never before have there been so many important artifacts from the life and career of the much loved global icon Marilyn Monroe as in our Nov 19th and 20th auction,” enthuses Executive Director of Julien’s Auctions Martin Nolan.

The sale includes other pieces of costume jewelry, compacts, personal prescriptions, evening gloves, shoes, cosmetics and a few pieces related to Joe DiMaggio. The collection will go on a world tour to Europe, Asia, South America and U.S. before the November auction.
