Unique “iDiamond” Shaped like Apple Logo

A fancy yellow stone was cut as a 1.13-carat iDiamond; in other words, someone cut a diamond in the shape of the iconic Apple logo, according to an IDEX Online report.

The gem was submitted to the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) lab in Carlsbad, California, which said that the stone was “most likely fashioned in the shape of an apple as a novelty and to retain weight, as the stone showed significant windowing, which suggests that the rough was too shallow to allow for more efficient light return”. The gem owner went undisclosed in their report.

In addition, the GIA noted that “new cutting styles of diamonds are often designed either for efficient light return and weight retention properties or to resemble other items.”
