Christie’s: 3-Carat Green Diamond Ring Rakes In $491,000

Christie’s Jewels Online: Summer Sparkle, a 10-day sale which concluded recently, saw a 3-carat Fancy Intense green diamond ring go for $491,000 – way above its low estimate of $450,000, but less than its high estimate of $550,000, IDEX Online reports.

 

According to the report, “the cut-cornered square modified brilliant-cut diamond, GIA-certified as SI1, is set in platinum with a Fancy purplish pink cushion modified brilliant-cut diamond of 0.45 carat (VS1), Fancy pink cushion modified brilliant-cut diamond of 0.41 carat (also VS1).” 

 

Another sale highlight was a platinum ring set with a white 12.75-carat emerald-cut diamond, which sold for $441,000.

 

Christie’s Jewels Online: Summer Sparkle included  bidders from 24 countries and realized $4,508,532, with 98% sold by lot.
