Recently, Pharrell Williams – American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and fashion icon – launched a new global auction house called Joopiter. Recently, Joopiter held its first sale – 49 pieces from Pharrell’s collection including shoes, clothing, and jewelry and bejeweled accessories made by Pharrell in collaboration with jeweler and watch designer Jacob Arabo, popularly known as “Jacob the Jeweler.” On Joopiter’s website, bids can still be placed.
Among the pieces are custom-made diamond and fancy colored diamond pendants, gold cases for Pharrell’s Blackberry 8700 and Sony PSP, pavé-set Casio G-Shocks with yellow cognac and black diamonds, and another one with white, cognac, yellow and black diamonds, as well as a pair of Oakley Razor Blade glasses covered with around 10 carats of diamonds
A highlight is Pharrell’s iconic N.E.R.D character Pendant by Jacob & Co. – a custom-made 14K yellow gold, rose gold & diamond pendant and matching chain commissioned in 2004 to celebrate the N.E.R.D. supergroup collaboration between Pharrell and longtime partners Shay Haley and Chad Hugo. According to the website, the 14K yellow gold pendant and chain “contain a stunning array of yellow, black and white diamonds that frame the N.E.R.D. brain logo set in rubies.”
