IDEX Price Report: Round Diamonds Fall Hard In March 2023

The IDEX Price Report for March 2023, published by IDEX Online, shows “heavy rounds losses” and “a smattering of increases” among Fancy diamonds as “caution persists and overall trading is slow” during the month.

Among Round diamonds, prices dropped particularly among 0.80-carat to 2.99-carat stones, “with very few gains to balance them out.” Among Fancy diamonds, the overall picture was better. According to IDEX Online, the biggest cluster of increases was among 0.50-0.69-carat diamonds (D-G / IF-VS2) as well as “a trend of increases” in G+ / VS+ goods from 0.45-carat to 0.79-carat gems.
