Rare 20-Carat Pink Diamond Expected to Rake In $16.5 Million

A 20.19-carat Fancy Intense VVS1 Pink diamond is set to take center stage at Phillips’ upcoming Geneva Jewels auction on November 6, and is estimated to fetch between $11 million to $16.5 million, IDEX Online reports.

The cut-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut diamond, accented with baguette diamonds, ranks among the four largest fancy intense pink diamonds ever to be presented in an auction, and is notably the most valuable gem ever put under the hammer by Phillips.

Other notable items in the auction include a ring set with a 54.27-carat Fancy Intense Yellow diamond in a round-cornered rectangular modified brilliant-cut (estimated to fetch $1.3-$1.8 million); and a 15.60-carat oval diamond (D / VS2) designed by Fred and adorned with baguette diamonds (estimated to fetch $500,000-$800,000).

In June, the 10.57-carat gem dubbed “Eternal Pink” achieved $34.8 million at Sotheby’s New York.
