US Watch and Jewelry Sales on the Rise

US watch and jewelry sales performed well in September, experiencing their largest monthly increase since April 2022, according to IDEX Online.

 

Figures from the US Department of Commerce indicate an 8.4% increase in watch and jewelry sales in September, compared to a 5.2% rise in August, as reported by IDEX Online. Jewelry sales in the US grew by 8.1% in September, up from 5.0% in August, based on revised Department of Commerce data. Watch sales saw a 9.6% increase in September, compared to a 6.2% increase in August. Overall, the watch and jewelry sector achieved an 8.4% growth rate in September, rising from 5.2% in August.

 

September marked the 12th consecutive month of growth in watch and jewelry sales, following a year of declines from September 2022 to September 2023.

 

The recovery in the US market has been largely driven by major retailers such as Amazon, Costco, and Walmart, along with other multi-line retailers, which together account for about two-thirds of all watch and jewelry sales.
