REPORT: PANDORA PLANS TO LAUNCH NEW PRODUCTS IN THE US

Danish jewelry brand Pandora is looking to expand its line of products in the US, according to a report in Gem Konnect. Pandora’s revenue fell 10% in the first quarter of the year “due mainly to slowing US sales”.

Pandora’s CEO Anders Colding Friis said that he sees “good possibilities in strengthening the company’s business in the current economic environment” and commented that products added around Mother’s Day on May 14 “had gained traction in the market”, adding that the new products may increase “their share of the company’s offerings in future”.

Pandora’s rings, earrings and necklaces account for about 25% of the company’s revenue. The US market “currently accounts for 25% of PANDORA’s revenue as compared with five years ago”, according to the report.
