According to the miner, 136 gem-quality diamonds were sold in the latest auction, weighing a total of 2,234 carats. These included 25 fancy yellow stones weighing 440 carats in total. 54 companies from Hong Kong, mainland China, Belgium, Israel and India took part in the auction.

Evgeny Agureev, Director of USO ALROSA, commented: “This year’s last diamond auction in Hong Kong was held simultaneously with the Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair. During the last auction, we sold not only rough diamonds of standard color, but also rare fancy yellow stones, which are particularly popular in the market”.
