DIAMCOR ACHIEVES ALMOST $200 PER CARAT IN LAST TENDER

Diamcor Mining has announced the results of its recent tender of rough diamonds from its Krone-Endora at Venetia Project. Diamcor sold 4,353 carats of rough for $864,546, achieving $198.57 per carat, as compared to $171.70 per carat in the previous quarter ended September 30.

According to Diamcor, despite limited processing volumes at the project, it “continues to demonstrate its potential for the recovery of larger rough diamonds”. At the tender, there were three rough diamonds in the specials category (+10.8 carats) including a 25.02-carat rough, “19 individual rough diamonds being over 5 carats in size, and 182 individual rough diamonds being over 2 carats in size”.

Diamcor attribute the increase in the average dollar per carat to the quality of the 25.02 carat rough as well as “increased attendance at the tender”.
