DIAMCOR SELLS 2,153 ROUGH CARATS IN THIRD TENDER

Diamcor Mining has reported that in its third and final tender for the quarter, completed in June, it sold 2,153 carats of rough diamonds. According to Mining Weekly, the sale grossed $338,380, with an average price of $157.16 per carat. The third tender included stones from the miner’s “newly expanded Krone-Endora facility” at the Venetia mine in South Africa.

 

All in all, the tender brought “the total rough diamonds tendered and sold from the initial processing of material during the period to 8,318 carats, generating gross proceeds of $1.851 million and resulting in an average price of $222.52 per carat”.

 

In May, it was reported that Diamcor Sales of rough diamonds by Diamcor Mining’s second tender has raked in $702,635. The sale, which comprised of rough stones from the miner’s Krone-Endora at Venetia, totaled 3,265 carats, representing an average price of $215.20 per carat.
