Trans Atlantic Gem Sales (TAGS), which held a rough tender in Dubai last week, raked in around $30 million by selling all of the 18,655 carats on tender, IDEX Online reports.

The company said that all qualities and sizes were in “extraordinarily strong demand […] especially single stones and exceptional specials”. Goods from South Africa, Namibia and Angola “achieved record pricing across all ranges. First-time customers from Israel also attended, according to the report.

In May, TAGS sold 45,000 carats of rough in Dubai for $18 million.
