LUCAPA RAKES IN $1.7 MILLION IN SECOND SALE OF THE YEAR

Lucapa Diamond Company has announced the results of the second sale for 2018 of diamonds from its Lulo Diamond Project in Angola.

 

According to a press release, Lucapa sold 2,072 carats for a total of $1.7 million, representing an average price per carat of $804. The largest diamond sold weighed 44 carats. The latest sale brought gross proceeds from Lulo diamonds sales to date in 2018 to $10.8 million at an average price per carat of $1,731.

 

In the first sale of the year, the company sold 4,170 carats of Lulo diamonds, achieving gross proceeds of $9.14 million, which according to the company represent “an exceptional average price per carat of $2,192”.
