IDE LAUNCHES “FLY TO BUY” CAMPAIGN FOR FOREIGN DIAMOND BUYERS

The Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) has officially launched “Fly to Buy” – a new campaign to encourage international buyers to purchase diamonds at the bourse.

According to a press release, the campaign will reimburse flights for up to $1,000 for buyers who will purchase $150,000 worth of diamonds during their visit to the exchange. The campaign will run from October to December 2018.

IDE President Yoram Dvash said: “A great many international buyers visit our diamond complex and sit on our trading floor over the course of the year, and we expect this campaign to dramatically increase buyer traffic. The timing, right before the holiday season, is also a big attraction”.

The “Fly to Buy” campaign, the IDE says, “is the first in a series of marketing campaigns that IDE will be launching in the near future, and a direct result of the new relationship between the bourse and the Israeli government”. Last week, Minister of Finance Moshe Kahlon has pledged to aid the Israeli diamond industry to the tune of over $4 million over the next five years.
