Israel’s Diamond Exports Fall in November, but Year-on-Year Prices Soar

In November, there was a decline in Israel’s polished diamond exports. According to figures released by the Ministry of Economy and Industry, as cited by IDEX Online, net polished diamond exports fell 75%, amounting to slightly over $107 million. Polished diamond exports totaled $660 million in September.

 

On the bright side, sales in November 2023 were nearly three times higher than in November 2022, reaching almost $107 million compared to $37 million. The volume of carats went down by a third, but the average price per carat surged from $336 to $1,396.

 

November’s rough exports amounted to $24 million – a 21% increase from the previous month’s $19 million. Year-on-year, this figure represents a 68% fall.
