ISRAEL’S TALLEST BUILDING TO BE BUILT AT THE IDE COMPLEX

Good news for members of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE): On Sunday (June 25), the Committee for Planning and Building in Ramat Gan has given the go-ahead for two new high-rises on the IDE complex. The first tower will have 111 floors, making it the tallest building in the country. Alongside it, a second high rise, comprising of 77 floors, will also rise. The project is now in the hands of the County Committee.

The total area of the buildings will cover 400,000 sq. They will feature offices, commercial spaces, public floors, and potentially a theater and a Congress Hall. The 111-floor tower will feature a footbridge connecting pedestrians to the train station. The two buildings are planned by Avner Yashar Architects, a firm that specializes in high-rises.

The project has gained the full support of the City of Ramat Gan. The city’s mayor, Israel zinger, said: “The IDE complex is excellently located. The two new towers are being erected as part of a vision I’ve been promoting since I entered office: an innovative complex that will draw thousands of businesses from diverse fields, and a dominant axis for cultural and recreational activities in the future”.

IDE President Yoram Dvash commented: “This project ensures the viability of the bourse and its members for the next 30-40 years, and more. It will add jobs, strengthen the complex and the city, and will contribute greatly to bourse members. I want to thank all those who have consulted on the project from the beginning: Eli Avidar, Avner Yashar Architects and especially IDE Director Boaz Moldawsky, who has led the project from our end”.
