Nissim Zuaretz, President of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA) and owner of DN Diamonds, which has been awarded the title of Outstanding Exporter three times in the past decade, was elected President of the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), as confirmed by the 74th General Assembly of the Exchange, which convened yesterday (Monday).
The event was attended by industry leaders, honorary presidents, and members of the IDE’s management, including outgoing President Mr. Boaz Moldavsky, President of the IsDMA and new IDE President Mr. Nissim Zuaretz, and IDI Chairman, Mr. Arnon Yuval.
Zuaretz, 50 years old, married with three children and a resident of Herzliya, stated, “I am proud and excited to assume the role of President of the Israel Diamond Exchange at such a significant and crucial time. It is a true mission to take the reins, lead the IDE forward, and influence the future of the diamond industry in Israel.”
The new IDE president added, “For 28 years, I have dedicated my life to our precious diamond industry, and I commit to continue working for its benefit. This is undoubtedly a period full of challenges for the country and the diamond industry in particular, which is in severe crisis and requires rehabilitation and dedicated plans to grow it back. I believe that with innovation, creativity, proper work, and complete transparency, we will succeed in setting a new path and ensuring the profession’s future for the younger generation. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the esteemed IDE members who supported and encouraged my entry into the role of President.”
IDI Chairman, Mr. Arnon Juwal, congratulated the new president on his election. “I wish Mr. Nissim Zuaretz great success. He is the right person to lead the IDE during this challenging period. With Nissim’s experience and knowledge, and in cooperation with all the bodies in the industry, I am confident we will jointly lead the Israeli diamond industry to better days and a brighter future.”
