TZVI YEHUDA COMPANY HELD A TRAINING SESSION ON DIAMOND COLOR MEASUREMENTS

Israeli-based Tzvi Yehuda Company, manufacturer of rough and polished diamond colorimeters, held a training session at the IDE Complex today (Tuesday) for diamantaires on the use of its colorimeters – the F50 model for rough 0.30-0.50 carat stones, and the F-1000 model for rough and polished 0.30-1 carat stones.

Dror Yehuda, son of the founder Tzvi Yehuda (who invented the company’s colorimeters in 1977), opened the meeting by explaining that many diamantaires misread the data on the company’s colorimeters, often leading to loss of revenue.

The practical part of the session was handled by Ofer Carmi, Manager of the Rough Department and the Marketing Department. Carmi, who has more than 30 years of experience in the field, listed common mistakes in data reading, and showed the participants how to examine the diamonds to get optimal results. He explained that the company’s colorimeters measure five parameters: color range D-K, blue to yellow fluorescence, diamond types, and fancy yellow colors in five hues.
