ALROSA JOINS THE RESPONSIBLE JEWELLERY COUNCIL

Russian mining giant Alrosa has become a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) as of August 11, according to press releases by RJC and Alrosa.
The Responsible Jewellery Council is an international not-for-profit organisation.

 

ach RJC member has to undergo an independent audit, covering standard finance and legal compliance issues, ethical business aspects and protection of the environment.

 

The RJC includes more than 800 companies, among them De Beers, Dominion Diamond Corporation, Rio Tinto and Lucara Diamond. In accordance with the procedure, within two years Alrosa will undergo an independent audit of its business operation to obtain RJC Certification
