FINLAND: ARCTIC STAR FINDS DIAMONDS AT TIMANTTI DIAMOND PROJECT

Arctic Star Exploration Corp., owner of the Timantti Diamond Project near Kuusamo, Finland, announced the second set of results from drilling operations at the White Wolf kimberlite. According to Rough & Polished, “the processing of 262.33kg showed the grade of 758 stones”.

 

Buddy Doyle, VP of Exploration stated, “We are very encouraged by the diamond results from White Wolf kimberlite, we await the diamond results from Black Wolf, and Grey Wolf, expected prior to the end of this month […]”. In June, Arctic Star said that in its first set of diamond results from the spring drill program, the processing of 100 kilos showed more than 100 stones.

 

In March of this year, Canadian-based think-tank, the Fraser Institute, published its annual Investment Attractiveness Index report. According to Gem Konnect, the 2017 annual list has put Finland as the top international jurisdiction for mining investment.
