FIRESTONE INCREASES DIAMOND GUIDANCE FOR LIQHOBONG BY 20%

In a statement released by Firestone Diamonds and quoted by IDEX Online, the miner said it expects to recover around 360,000 carats from Liqhobong in the financial year ending June 30 – up from the 300,000 carats in April’s guidance.

On April 26, Firestone announced that commissioning activities at the Liqhobong Diamond Mine in Lesotho, in which Firestone holds a 75% stake, “were largely complete and that final ramp up was progressing on track”.

Firestone also announced that it began “quarterly repayments under the terms of its $82.4 million debt facility […] and made its first capital repayment of $1.4 million in March”.
