Gem Diamonds has announced its second recovery of a +100-ct diamond in less than two weeks, according to IDEX Online.
The UK-based miner unearthed a 118.74-carat Type II white diamond on April 28, following another Type II white diamond weighing 169.15 carats discovered on April 18. This marks the fifth +100-carat diamond recovered by Gem Diamonds so far this year, matching its total for all of 2023.
In January, Gem recovered two diamonds – one weighing 129-carats and the other 295 carats, followed by a 113-carat diamond in February.
