208 carat diamond from Lulo mine

Lulo Mine Yields 208-Carat Diamond, Third Largest in Its History

Lucapa Diamond Company has reported the discovery of a 208-carat Type IIa diamond at the Lulo mine in Angola. According to Mining Weekly, this is the third-largest diamond recovered from Lulo since mining started there in 2015.

To date, Lulo has produced 39 diamonds weighing over 100 carats. This recent discovery follows closely after the recovery of a 123-carat diamond at the same mine.

Lucapa co-owns the Lulo mine in collaboration with Endiama and Rosas & Petalas. Additionally, the company owns the Motheo diamond mine in Lesotho and exploration assets in Australia and Africa.
