Born in 1946, Donald Trump is an American businessman, politician and TV personality. He is also a candidate for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in the 2016 election.
Born in Queens, New York, Trump is son to real estate developer Fred Trump. He began working for the family firm upon graduating from college and in 1971 was given control and renamed the company “The Trump Organization”. Since then, Trump has built casinos, golf courses and hotels, many under his name. According to Forbes, Trump is worth $4.5 billion. Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, is currently Executive VP of Development & Acquisitions at the Trump Organization, and has her own lines of jewelry handbags and footwear.
In a recent piece by Buzzfeed, Donald Trump was quoted as saying that “to have the best, you have to know the best. Thinking like a billionaire means recognizing the best and enjoying the best.” His “best” in jewelry, by his own admission, include Graff, Harry Winston, Asprey, Tiffany, and Fred Leighton. According to Trump, Asprey jewelry “makes the most beautiful woman look even better”, and “Winston and Graff have […] the best diamonds in the world.”
