Breitling Super Chronomat watch

Check Out Breitling’s First “Fully Traceable” Watch

Switzerland-based watchmaker Breitling has unveiled the Super Chronomat Automatic 38 Origins – a “fully traceable” watch, IDEX Online reports.

The $20,000 piece features gold sourced from a single artisanal mine, diamonds from lab-grown supplier Fenix, and a blockchain-backed NFT as a guarantee of provenance.

According to the report, Breitling has commissioned Sourcemap, which provides transparency solutions for over 100,000 luxury goods companies,” to verify the entire chain of custody, “from raw material to finished product.”

Aurelia Figueroa, the company’s global head of sustainability, said: “We are committed to achieving positive social and environmental impacts along the value chain and enabling product integrity.
