STYLE AND SMARTS: THE SHINNING CAREER OF JULIANNE MOORE

Born in 1960, Julianne Moore has been one of Hollywood’s most prolific actresses since the early 1990s. Moore began her acting career on the soap opera “As the World Turns” in 1985, and in 1990 made her film debut with Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. She gained global recognition in 1993, after playing a lead role in Robert Altman’s Short Cuts. Other notable films include Nine Months (1995), Boogie Nights (1997), The Hours (2002), The Big Lebowski (1998), The Kids Are All Right (2010), and Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011). In 2015, she won an Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Alice in Still Alice.

Moore’s style on the red carpet is often cited as elegant and glamorous. In the last few years, she has shown a fondness for Chopard’s jewelry. On the red carpet of the Oscars in 2015, for instance, when she won her Academy Award, she wore a Chanel black and white gown complimented by a pair of Chopard diamond earrings. At the SAG Awards that same year, Moore wore a pair of purple amethyst Chopard earrings, as well as a Chopard diamond ring. On the red carpet of the Golden Globes in 2016, Moore presented an award sporting a big Chopard Paraiba tourmaline and titanium ring.

Recently, on the red carpet of the Cannes Festival, Moore wore an 18k white gold earrings set with rubies and diamonds from the “Precious Chopard Collection”.
