CARRIE UNDERWOOD: DIAMOND CELEBRITY OF THE WEEK

Many stars wear diamond jewelry by a variety of different jewelers, but country singer Carrie Underwood has proved unusually loyal to jewelry designer Johnathon Arndt.
Arndt designed the engagement ring that Underwood’s hockey player fiance, Mike Fisher, gave her. The ring featured a flawless yellow diamond of over 5 carats set in platinum, reportedly worth over $150,000.
Carrie Underwood was also dripping in Johnathon Arndt diamonds when she walked down the aisle. The bride wore a custom-designed 18 karat gold tiara set with over 40 carats of diamonds crafted in a Victorian-style flower and leaf design. Underwood’s wedding band – also by Arndt – features both princess-cut and round-cut diamonds. Even the singer’s dog, Ace, was decked out in diamonds, wearing a diamond charm in the shape of a letter “A.”

Johnathon Arndt is also Underwood’s go-to choice for red carpet events. For the 2011 Golden Globes, she wore a leaf-shaped jewel made from more than 10 carats of white and yellow diamonds set in 18 karat white gold, which she paired with diamond drop chandelier earrings.

Sparkle is always on display at the Country Music Awards. For the 2011 CMAs, Carries Underwood wore over $7 million worth of jewelry by Arndt. The singer posed for photographers wearing earrings set with 26.25 carats of yellow diamonds and a 22-carat diamond cuff bracelet. On stage to present an award, she sported a pair of Arndt’s diamond solitaire earrings.
