CHOPARD UNVEILS 25.66-CARAT WHITE DIAMOND WATCH

Swiss jeweler Chopard has unveiled its new Lotus Blanc watch, an in-house creation inspired by Chopard’s co-president Caroline Scheufele’s trip to South-East Asia earlier in the year.

The watch is set with 25.66 carats of white diamonds. According to Chopard, the watche’s “petals sparkle as if dotted with dewdrops open in one smooth move; while the flowing bracelet composed of fine rows of diamonds evokes the undulating waters on which the flower bobs gently up and down”. The timepiece, which also features an “ingenious opening mechanism”, has been selected by Chopard to compete in the upcoming Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (Geneva Watchmaking Grand Prix) is an annual watchmaking prize established in 2001. The GPHG includes prizes in several categories, such as men’s/women’s, sport watch, technical innovation, and complication.
