Christie’s Joaillerie Paris Sale Features “Finely Curated” Vintage Jewelry

Christie’s new Joaillerie Paris online sale (which began on June 23 and ends on July 7) is presenting “a finely curated selection of coloured stones, diamonds and vintage pieces,” according to the auction house as quoted by Rough & Polished.

 

The 290 lots include pieces designed by Belperron, Boivin, Boucheron, Bulgari, Cartier, Chaumet, Jean Fouquet, JAR, Seaman Schepps and Van Cleef & Arpels. The prices range from €1,000  (around $1,042) to €300,000 ($312,870), and the pieces originate “from the 19th and early 20th centuries.”

 

Highlighted lots include a 25.40-carat old cut diamond in I color and VS1 clarity; two important fine cushion cut sapphires, one from Kashmir and another one from Sri Lanka; vintage jewelry from the 1940s, 1960s and 1970s, including a rubies and diamonds Zip necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels; a tourmaline and tubogas necklace by Bulgari and more.
