Christie’s June Auction of Magnificent Jewels Includes a $15 Million Diamond

Christie’s iconic Magnificent Jewels auction, held on June 7 this year, will include an “exquisite assemblage of jewels” from private collections, alongside signed jewels by Cartier, Chaumet, Harry Winston, JAR, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and Verdura, according to Rough & Polished.

One of the highlights of the sale is “The Light of Peace Diamond” (estimate: $10,000,000 – 15,000,000) a D color, Internally Flawless, Type IIa, pear brilliant-cut diamond weighing 126.76 carats and offered without reserve.

Other impressive diamonds and colored diamonds include a superb fancy vivid blue diamond ring of 3.10 carats (estimate $4.2-$5.2 million); a fancy intense yellow diamond pendant of 50.40 carats (estimate $700,000 – 1,200,000); and a fancy intense pink diamond ring of 4.01 carats (estimate $1.5–2.5 million).

The sale will also include the Burmese “Royal Blue” Sapphire of 71.27 carats, set in a diamond pendant, and estimated to bring between $3 to $5 million, as well as a Chaumet Art Deco emerald and diamond necklace from the Rothschild family, estimated to rake in $2-$3 million. Another highlight comes from the collection of Anne Eisenhower – the iconic ‘Jarretière’ ruby and diamond bracelet, acquired by Marlene Dietrich in 1937 from Van Cleef & Arpels, and estimated to bring $2.5-$4.5 million.
