She’s appeared in some undistinguished film and TV roles in the 80s and 90s, and recently announced she’ll compete on season 22 of Dancing with the Stars. Maples is best known for her six-year marriage to celebrity businessman Donald Trump. They were married in 1993 and divorced in 1999. The couple has one daughter, Tiffany Trump, born in 1993.
In 2000, Maples made some media buzz when she announced she’ll be auctioning off the pricey diamond engagement ring Trump gave her. The Harry Winston platinum ring features a 7.45-carat, emerald-cut diamond and 16 graduated, straight baguette-cut diamonds. Her ex-husband was less than happy at this strange development, calling the move “pretty tacky and really ridiculous.”
