People just can’t get enough of the British royal family – or their iconic jewels. The high-end jewelry company Mouawad has recently recreated Princess Diana’s engagement ring for “Spencer”, a new biopic about her life.
According to IDEX Online, the ring is said to be a faithful copy, “although the 1981 original featured a 12-carat oval blue Ceylon sapphire and the copy has a 7.25-carat gem”.
The movie, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in early September, stars American actress Kristen Stewart as Diana, and depicts “the fateful Christmas weekend in 1991 when she decided her marriage to Prince Charles was over.”
