Businesswoman and socialite Paris Hilton, known the world over for her fine taste in jewellery among other things, is now engaged to boyfriend Carter Reum. The couple has been dating for a year and Reum proposed to Hilton on February 13 – one day before Valentine’s and a few days before her 40th birthday.
According to numerous reports, the custom-made, emerald-cut engagement ring is worth $1 million. It was made by Jean Dousset, the great-great-grandson of legendary jeweler Cartier. On her website, Hilton shared some details on the proposal: “A peaceful pre-dinner walk on the beach turned into much more when Carter dropped to one knee. It was the kind of proposal I had always dreamed of, followed by a special celebration with family and close friends”.
This isn’t the first time Hilton gets engaged and is awarded an expensive ring. The last one was given to her in 2018 by Chris Zylka – a 20-carat pear-shaped ring reportedly worth $2 million.
