Princess Eugenie diamond Tiara

THE JEWELS PRINCESS EUGENIE WORE AT HER WEDDING

The Queen’s granddaughter, Princess Eugenie, married her longtime boyfriend Jack Brooksbank at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle over the weekend (October 12). As always with royal weddings, everything that the royal bride wore – both clothes and jewelry – got the avid attention of the world press.

Many commented on the princess’ choice of tiara: Borrowed from the queen, she wore a Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, popular with Russian royals in the early 20th century, with a 93.70-carat cabochon-cut emerald at its center. The tiara, made by Parisian jewellery house Boucheron in the early 1900s, has a platinum frame and also features six emeralds in either side as well as and rose cut diamonds, added to it by 1921.

Like Meghan Markle before her, Eugenie opted for a a classic, simple, yellow gold band for her ceremony. The bride also wore diamond and emerald earrings, which were a gift from the groom.
