Signet Jewelers Acquires Jewelry Rental Online Platform Rocksbox

Signet Jewelers has acquired Rocksbox, an online jewelry rental subscription platform, thereby giving Signet “a significant foothold in a growing online service that speaks to next-generation jewelry customers”, according to a press release. Signet did not disclose how much it has paid for the acquisition.

Launched in 2012 by Meaghan Rose, a former strategy consultant, Rocksbox provides its monthly subscribers an online platform to “rent and swap exclusive and designer jewelry styles”. According to Signet’s press release, Rocksbox’s “growing customer base consists of women who are stylish and tech savvy”.
