Sotheby’s Hong Kong Magnificent Jewels and Jadeite Spring Sale 2018, scheduled for April 3, will be headlined by “The Circle of Heaven” – a jadeite bangle estimated at $10,230,000- $12,790,000. Jessica Wyndham, Head of Department of Jewellery at Sotheby’s Asia, added that the sale will include “a wonderful selection of contemporary and vintage signed jewels”.
Another highlighted lot is a spectacular ruby and diamond ring set with a cushion-shaped ruby weighing 24.7 carats, estimated at $10,490,000-$11,770,000.
“The Circle of Heaven” is an “extremely rare and highly translucent jadeite bangle of full brilliant emerald green colour with fine texture”. The spectacular ruby and diamond ring is not only set with a Burmese “Pigeon Blood” Ruby of 24.70 carats, but also mounted within a surround of diamonds which are D colour and internally flawless to VVS1 clarity.
