ROLEX’S BEST MAN: THE STORY OF ROGER FEDERER

Dubbed by many as one of the greatest athletes of all time, Roger Federer is a Swiss professional tennis player. Federer, who began his professional tennis career in 1998, has won a mind-blowing 20 Grand Slam singles titles – more than any other male player ever. He was ranked world No. 1 in the ATP rankings for 302 weeks. Federer has won eight Wimbledon titles, six Australian Open titles, five US Open titles and one French Open title.

In addition to his on-court success, Federer has managed his endorsement deals carefully, and is today considered one of the top-earners in the world of sports. He has endorsements with, among others, Nike and Nationale Suisse, Credit Suisse, Rolex, Lindt, Sunrise, and Jura Elektroapparate.

Federer’s relationship with Swiss watchmaker Rolex has spanned more than a decade. When he won the 2018 Australian Open Finals, he lifted the winners’ trophy wearing the Rolex Sky-Dweller model in stainless steel.

In a video posted by Rolex, Federer tells of the most meaningful Rolex watches he’s worn over the years, including the Day-Date model with the big dial, which he wears when “dressing up” at night; the 1981 Dayona, Federer’s year of birth, which was gifted to him by his wife; and the Datejust model, which he wore when lifting to winner’s trophy at Wimbledon, winning his 15th Grand Slam title against Andy Roddick.
