During a press conference in Brunnen, Switzerland, TAG Heuer launched what it calls “the most expensive connected watch in the world”: the TAG Heuer Connected Modular Full Diamond, made of white gold and paved with baguette diamonds, totalling 23.35 carats. The watch is priced at 190,000 CHF, which converts approximately to $197,000.
According to the Swiss watchmaker, the watch comes with a Calibre 5 mechanical module featuring a bezel set with 72 1.5 mm diameter diamonds. The TAG Heuer Connected Modular Full Diamond was developed in collaboration with Intel and GoogleTM.
In addition to its shiny exterior, the watch is also water resistant to 50 metres and features GPS, an NFC sensor for payment, an AMOLED screen, and a “Google Wear 2.0 and a new Companion App to enhance the software experience”, according to a press statement.
