TITAN EYES GROWTH IN WEDDING AND HIGH-VALUE DIAMOND JEWELRY

Indian jewelry company Titan, owner of India’s largest jewelry brand Tanishq, is looking to “boost its presence in the wedding segment” in India, according to Gem Konnect. Titan also looks to expand in the high-value diamond jewelry segment”.

 

In addition, Titan is also working towards entering the West Asia market “with a focus on mall locations”. Bhaskar Bhat, the Group’s CEO, said in the past that Titan will focus on the Indian diaspora, “which loves Indian jewellery styles”.

 

Titan also aims to boost its online retail segment for both watches and jewelry. Last year, Titan acquired a 62% stake in online jewelry retailer CaratLane and according to Gem Konnect, Bhat predicts that in five years, both jewellery and watch sales will grow substantially.

 

Titan currently has 7,400 employees and has a market capitalisation of $11.9 billion.
