DALLAS: $2 MILLION DIAMOND STUDDED WEDDING SHOWCASED

There are some wedding dresses you never want to stain: Mackenzie Brittingham, owner of the Dallas-based Stanley Korshak Bridal shop, has created a dress worth $2 million dollars, studded with diamonds, gemstones and crystals. The dress was on display at the Dallas Bridal Show, an upscale show organised by the Texas Wedding Guide.

According to multiple news sources, the skirt of the dress features 1,001 Swarovski crystals and 300 imported feathers, while the top of the dress has 220 diamonds and sapphires. Brittingham, who also designed the dress, used diamonds, sapphires and crystals provided by Houston-based De Boulle Diamond and Jewelry.

According to the bridal magazine The Knot, the average wedding costs in the US is about $33,000. The Knot 2017 Jewelry & Engagement Study, which surveyed more than 14,000 engaged or recently married individuals, also showed that the average spend on diamond engagement ring is $6,351.
