In a statement released this week, Russian mining giant Alrosa has announced the appointment of Evgeny Agureev, former Vice President of Sberbank, as Director of the United Selling Organization of Alrosa – the company’s sales division.
According to Alrosa, “Evgeny Agureev is to develop rough diamonds sales, increase their efficiency and transparency, strengthen ties with long-term clients. Among other tasks, he is to prepare the Company for a new three-year contract period – signing contracts with the world’s largest rough diamond consumers for 2018-2020”.
Born in 1978, Agureev has more than 15 years of experience in financial management in commercial banks. From 2009 to 2017, he held different positions in Sberbank. Prior to that, he worked in Russian Standard Bank, MDM Bank, Raiffeisen Bank Austria, Absolut Bank, and Renaissance Credit Bank.
