The Hong Kong International Jewelry Manufacturers’ Show (November 30 to December 3) opened this morning (Thursday) at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. The Israeli Diamond Pavilion, organized by the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), hosts 26 companies. A total of 300 companies are participating in the show.

IDI Chief Marketing Officer Ira Tsirlina commented: “This is the last show in which IDI takes part. In contrast to other shows, HKJMA is open for both professionals and individual clients, so the crowd is diverse. The first day opened on a very positive note and by 11 am, 5,000 visitors have already entered the exhibition area”.
Tsirlina added: “the Israeli Diamond Pavilion hosts 26 companies. Visitors of the Israeli pavilion can utilize the Get Diamonds terminals to search in both English and Chinese for the goods they seek among the Israeli exhibitors. The Get Diamonds database was highly popular among visitors at the last September show”.
The JMA International Jewelry Design Competition 2017 Award Ceremony will be held today (November 30). As part of the collaboration between the HKJMA and IDI, the winner will be invited to attend the International Diamond Week next February (February 5-7, 2017).
The HKJMA was established in 1988, and the HKJMA show is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The show features fine jewelry, loose diamonds, pearls and colored gemstones, and attracts buyers from the US, the Middle East and Asia. HKJMA is the only diamond and jewelry show in Hong Kong that enables visitors to purchase directly from the exhibitors, and it is open to both professionals from the industry and the general public.
