The latest IDEX Online Polished Price Index shows “slightly higher levels of activity in July than in the previous two months”.
According to IDEX Online, 0.70-0.79 stones in I-L colors in VS2-SI1 clarities declined by 2%-3%, while 0.30-0.39 carat stones in D-G colors in VS1-SI1 clarities, and 0.40-0.44 carat stones in D-F colors in IF-SI1 clarities – experienced price increases.
As for Fancy diamonds, stones in the 0.30-0.39-carat category in D-I, IF-SI2 posted declines of 1%-3%. Stones in the 0.40-0.44 carat category “in top colors and a wide range of clarities” saw decreases of 2%-5%.1.50-1.99 carat stones experienced decreases in almost all colors in the SI1-SI2 bands. Meanwhile, 0.50-0.69 carat stones in D-G colors, VS2-SI2 clarities, increased by 1% to 4% percent.
