IGI LAUNCHES DIAMOND FOCUSED WEBSITE IN ITALIAN

The International Gemological Institute (IGI) has launched igialumni-italy.org, a website providing “gem-related course information, relevant articles, applicable networking opportunities, and upcoming events” in Italian, according to IDEX Online.

Among other things, the new website contains IGI Italy course offerings, course calendar details, a gemologist section so users can contact gemology experts and/or students, a Gempedia section authored by IGI Italy’s five institutions, and a gallery of close-up photographs of colored gemstones to help students “understand the main internal characteristics of gems”.

Luigi Costantini, honorary president of IGI Italy, said: “Site visitors will now be able to easily learn more about Italy-specific courses and collaborate with other industry professionals”. Roland Lorie, IGI co-CEO, says that the site will enable IGI to “tailor content to better suit our target audiences, making an enhanced experience for all”.
