Kathleen Ireland, a supermodel in the 1980s and 1990s, is today an entrepreneur with several successful business ventures. Back in her modeling days, she featured on 13 covers of Sports Illustrated. In 1993, Ireland established kathy ireland Worldwide (kiWW), a design and marketing company which sells collections include home, office, fashion, accessories, fine jewelry and other products. By 2012, Ireland’s company sold $2 billion worth of products.
In 2016, Ireland partnered with Paul Raps New York, Yaron Turgeman from Taly Diamonds and Roland Krainz from Krainz Creations to launch Diamonds by Kathy Ireland, which includes Our Love Collection – a collection of 65 jewelry pieces including engagement rings, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. According to its website, Diamonds by Kathy Ireland is a patented design setting sold at affordable prices aimed at “the average woman”.
The pieces in Our Love Collection are hand-set in platinum, and may be customized to be finished in rose gold or yellow gold. The pieces in the collection start at $1,600 and range upwards to $20,000, excluding custom orders. Categories within Our Love Collection feature rings (including Bridal) priced from $1,600 to $15,500, earrings from $1,800 to $20,000, necklaces from $1,400 to $11,000, and bracelets from $3,900 to $13,000. All diamond set in the pieces are a minimum of GH color and VS clarity.
