Hong Kong based fancy coloured diamond specialist Kunming Diamonds has won Rio Tinto’s 2021 “Once in a Blue Moon” Tender collection – all 41 lots of it – Rough & Polished reports.
According to Sinead Kaufman, Chief Executive of Rio Tinto Minerals, the “Once in a Blue Moon” collection is made up of fine rare blue and violet diamonds that are “highly coveted, the ultimate limited edition.”
According to the miner, its most recent 2021 Argyle Pink Diamonds™ Tender, comprising 70 rare pink and red diamonds from the iconic Argyle mine in Australia which closed in November 2020, “has delivered the most significant set of record-breaking results in its 38-year history.”
