LUCAPA FINDS 43-CARAT YELLOW DIAMOND AT LULO

Lucapa Diamond Company has announced the recovery of a 43 carat yellow diamond from the Lulo Diamond Project in Angola. Another diamond, a 116 carat low-quality stone, was also recovered.

According to Lucapa, the 43-carat yellow is “the largest coloured gem-quality diamond recovered to date from Lulo, surpassing the 39 carat pink recovered in September 2016”.

The 116-carat stone is the 10th +100 carat diamond recovered to date from Lulo and the second +100 carat recovered within the first three weeks of 2018. Earlier this month, Lucapa recovered two more large diamonds from Lulo: a diamond weighing 103 carats of a light brown color, and a 83 carat Type IIa diamond. Lucapa has set the next sale of alluvial diamonds from Lulo for early 2018.
